Proposed Lodging Facility
The Final Environmental Assessment and Draft for a proposed 1,000-room Army Lodging Facility is now available.
The draft’s finding of “No Significant Impact” is currently open for a 30-day public review period at four locations: Fort Lee Environmental Management Office, Colonial Heights Public Library, Hopewell Regional Library and Petersburg Public Library.

Army Ten-Miler Tryouts
This year, the entire Fort Lee Community – active duty, retirees, Department of Defense Civilians, contractors and Family members – are invited to try out for the 2010 Fort Lee Army 10-Miler Team. Participants will be selected using tryout results; no exceptions.

Earth Day
Join Fort Lee in its celebration of Earth Day April 29. Children and adults from surrounding communities are invited to come out and take the “Earth Day Pledge.”
More than 50 interactive exhibits will be inside and in the area adjacent to the Post Field House, to provide information about the environment, recycling and wild life preservation. Children’s exhibits are designed to help them with Standards of Learning testing.
